In this way he is a typical Republican. Only cares about the deficit when a Democrat is in the OO.

"reportedly"? lol you wish he said that.
Trump like his predecessors is awful, but why dont you carp about the 17 years of war, or the taxes, or the drug war locking up innocent people, etc. instead of something he might of said...oh thats right, you cant because that would mean criticizing the guy you supported for eight years who did the same.

It seems in recent memory only during Clinton administration (whether you want to give credit to House Republicans who passed the budget or Clinton is another animal I won't touch) that the budget was balanced. It seems whether GWB, Obama, or now Trump the attitude has been - let me flood the economy with borrowed money so the good times can continue and my predecessor will deal with the mess.

He told the truth. His followers love him for that. That's a plus to them.....they just checked off another notch as to why they love him so much.

What is a defect to most of us is a feature to them. Really.

Probably hopes to be comfortably ensconced in his Moscow Trump Tower condo by then.

He reportedly shrugged or was it a quote taken in context?
He appears to be, or actually is?

Yeah, Democrats would never do that. See Illinois, Chicago and countless other blue state cities and states who have kicked the debt can down the road for decades. It's not unique to a party...

Thanks for contributing to the senseless partisanship though.

Put a Republican in the Oval Office and they tank the economy, leaving it to the Democrats to repair. Which they do. Then we put another Republican in office and they tank the economy, leaving it to the Democrats to repair. Which they do.

Rinse and repeat, repeat, repeat.

You'd think we'd have learned this by now.
