Donald Trump wants the wall. Donald Trump campaigned for a border wall and told Americans Mexico would pay for the wall. Let's make Donald Trump keep his campaign promise. The meeting with Pelosi and Schumer was nothing but a photo opportunity for Donald Trump.

So ..... "at this point, what difference does it make!!??"

President Trump said he was happy to take the blame - he was going to be stuck with it anyway.
7 spending bills for ONLY discretionary spending remain - Democrats were willing to pass only 6 of them and willing to do a Continuing Resolution ONLY for Homeland Security.

They firmly believe that Homeland Security (FEMA, Border Control, ICE, Secret Service) are just not that important. President Trump disagrees. Government WILL shut down if they don't vote.
That's funny.

How do you go from not wanting to fund a concrete wall to believing that Homeland Security, FEMA, Border Control, ICE, Secret Service are not that important.

There is no logical, rationale thinking there --just pure emotion and hyperbole.

Of course, he will shut down the government because of nancy and chuckie….

Not sure why this is so hard to understand.

Pelosi and Schumer don't want the government to shut down, and they have said so repeatedly. Donald, on the other hand, does want the government to shut down, and he has also said this repeatedly.

Seems to me the guy who is throwing a temper tantrum because he isn't getting his way, and is thus pushing for the shutdown, is the guy who owns it.

Not sure why this is so hard to understand.

Sure they do, or why not give the president what he wants?

17 illegal criminals (you know, people who have been convicted of a crime) are apprehended daily at the border...daily..(these are the people who get caught) and you want this to continue

Because this is not a dictatorship. There is a process for Trump to get the funding for his wall, but his own party has refused to give it to him. Why should they, or the Democrats, fund something they don't want?

Trump is like a two year old who stamps his feet and threatens to hold his breath if he does't get his way. But in the adult world, those tactics don't work.

He needs to get his wall funding through Congress, the way the founders intended. And if he can't convince Congress to give him what he wants, he is out of luck.

And he is out of luck.

The wall is dead. America won on this one.

How many times does it have to be told to you that in order to pass any legislation/funding there has to be some support by the other party and in this case not only was/is that non-existent but there are many Republicans who won't support Trump either and then there's that little called a filibuster. So why do you keep repeating yourself?

Oh my God, if I had a nickel for every time you guys b*tch about Mexico paying for the wall I could retire in Hawaii. How many times does it have to be explained to you that Trump has a plan down the line and even if the taxpayer had to pay for it it's cost effective when you consider how many billions a year that illegal immigration costs us and the good walls have been known to be very effective before you stop repeating yourself over and over and over in here? It's getting nauseating! Face it, you and yours don't want the wall anyway no matter who pays for it because it doesn't fit your pro-illegal agenda. You fool no one!
