What about those people who spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars and planned a trip 6 or more months ago to visit NPS units during this time of year? This is why I can't stand either major party, every government shutdown ends up costing more anyways.

All depends on how long a shut down would last. Less than a week during a holiday weekend wouldn’t affect too much. A shut down for 3-4 weeks could cause some serious issues with tax season rolling around. Doubt it woumd last more than a week if it happens at all.
The Dow is plunging. All 2018 gains have been wiped out.

3-4 weeks would suit Ryan and the GOP fine. Then they can palm it off and blame Pelosi and the new Democratic majority House.
