I agree with you. People were in the same situation in 2013.

good. I support the government shutdown unless funds for the wall are included in the budget..... 100%.

The Dow is plunging. All 2018 gains have been wiped out.

All depends on how long a shut down would last. Less than a week during a holiday weekend wouldn’t affect too much. A shut down for 3-4 weeks could cause some serious issues with tax season rolling around. Doubt it woumd last more than a week if it happens at all.

It is devastating to the local economies in the rural areas that serve the facility. That's all they have.

lol. Stop the fear mongering. They will be back tomorrow. Do you honestly think the market is a straight line trajectory upward and all gains are there to stay? Unless you are a day trader, you made no gains in reality anyway, only on paper. The only thing that matters is what it looks like when you cash out.

Democrats are running around like ants.
Trump said the shutdown is on him. Democrats say, "OK, but this one is on HIM!"
Yeah. That's what he said.... "Yeah, but he didn't mean it! This one is really on HIM!"
Oh, yeah it was on the news. He said he would take the hit...... "But he didn't really MEAN it! Can't you SEE??!!"
Uh... no.

Waiting on an FHA loan for a new home? Too bad, live in your car until Trump's tantrum is over.

3-4 weeks would suit Ryan and the GOP fine. Then they can palm it off and blame Pelosi and the new Democratic majority House.

uh huh. When you are beholden to the Feds for your livelihood you must take the bad with the good. In other words, live by the Feds die by the Feds. It's happen countless times before and will happen countless times again.
