Baghdad -- Iraqi lawmakers Thursday demanded U.S. forces leave the country in the wake of a surprise visit by President Donald Trump that politicians denounced as arrogant and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

Politicians from both blocs of Iraq's divided Parliament called for a vote to expel U.S. troops and promised to schedule an extraordinary session to debate the matter.
"Parliament must clearly and urgently express its view about the ongoing American violations of Iraqi sovereignty," said Salam al-Shimiri, a lawmaker loyal to the populist cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

And just how did Trump do this? By allowing US soldiers stationed in Iraq to take selfies with him?

Maybe Obama should have just sat back longer and allow ISIS to control all of Iraq. Then Obama could destroy ISIS, take over the entire country and give control over to the Kurds; the only civilized people left in Iraq, apparently.

Cool. I guess that's one way to get US troops out of foreign ****holes.

I don't really see why it should bother libs anyway, since the end justifies any means, right? Or is it that you really do want troops in foreign countries, even though most all of your say otherwise? (not that that sort of hypocrisy is anything new)

"Liberals" are not complaining if we bring the troops home. Democrats are.

If Iraqi lawmakers want to expel our troops, GOOD! Bring them all home, we should had never been there and when ISIS or Iran go in there and eat their lunch DON'T come begging our troops to comeback.

This is a stupid news.....Iraq can accept our troops there to protect their country but don't want the President to visit them for X-Mas on U.S. base?

Nah, he just made stuff up and lied like he usually does, like claiming the military hadn't had pay increases in 10 years and that HE got them 10%.

It becomes more and more apparent Trump couldn't organize a whizzing contest in a brewery. He'd screw up a two car funeral, yet he thinks the sun comes up just to hear him crow. When will the GOP wise up and toast his time in office?

We have no obligations to inform Iraq of our specific military movements, such as the commander in chief of our armed forces visiting our armed forces. Do we inform them when Joe Smith returns home after his term and Bob Johnson arrives to take his place?
