JACKSON: "Which former presidents told President Trump, as he said, that he should have built a wall? All of their representatives have denied that that was the case."
PENCE: "I know the President has said that that was his impression from previous administrations, previous presidents. I know I've seen clips of previous presidents talking about the importance of border security, the importance of addressing the issue of illegal immigration."
JACKSON: "That's different from telling the President, though, right?"
PENCE: "Look, honestly, the American people, the American people want us to address this issue."
See? It was Trump's impression. Which is practically the same as them having said it.
That's how it works, right? That's why if I have the impression that Quick Enough wants me to sell his car and donate the proceeds to the DNC, I certainly can't be blamed if it later comes out that Quick Enough didn't actually say it. Who is he to argue with my impression?
No one told Trump anything, he made that up, and it doesn't matter. Fact-checking will never change a Trump follower's mind, because the Trumpenproletariat have long abandoned a fact-based worldview. If their adherence to Trump requires them to ignore the evidence in front of their eyes, they dutifully do so.
The article from CBS news, which the reference article in original post was taken from, said the following:
Mr. Obama is the only living president who has not explicitly denied having this conversation, and his office did not return a request for comment from CBS News.
ALL living president's have not refuted Trump's claim as asserted in the original post.Obama hasn'tdenied trump's claim. It's possible that George H.W. Bush, while still alive, spoke to Trump about the wall. Trump said "some," so it must be more than one.
the headline that "all living president's refute trump's claim" is a lie as Obama hasn't refuted trump's claim. shocking I tell ya. The press lies and some posters lap up their lies as fact.

He voted for more fencing and immigration reform. Trump wants a solid wall with his name on it. Regardless of what he says now. Because, you know, he changes his story every time he opens his mouth. So no, they didn't want a Trump wall. Never did.
Not just mere flimsy fencing but a good barrier on the border. Where did Trump say he wants his name on it? Why lie? The only thing he has changed is that it will only be for the 700 miles already approved by congress and he took advice from the Border Patrol to erect a wall with see through steel slats because they want to see who's approaching. What wrong with improving on what he initially wanted? That's somehow a negative? Don't you ever change your mind on anything?
Again, it's not Trump's wall but the wall already approved by congress in 2006. Have you joined the Parrot Club in here now?

I guess not ALL living president's have refuted Trump's claim after all as asserted in the original post.
Doesn't matter what he says now. Obama's signature was on the Secure Fence Act back in 2006 which was to be for double barriers on the most porous areas of our border. What changed?
Trump simply does not have the intellectual horsepower to be POTUS. He has gotten himself into wall-gate because of his own mouth. He lies and flip-flops so much that nobody knows where he really stands on anything and this wall of his is the worst of his blunders. He could have had it a year ago if he signed the deal that was on the table, and agreed to by both parties. He is his own worst enemy. You Republicans out there deserve a better representative for your party and all Americans deserve a POTUS that can think his way out of a paper bag.
if that was the situation then pence could have easily answered " trump spoke to obama and ghw bush". he didn't, and instead deflected when asked.
