Trump did not declare a State of Emergency. He moved the National Guard to the border which he can do at any time since he is the commander and chief. That is not a declairation of emergency and it’s clear you did not read Obama’s executive order since I am not sure you would like it if your into reducing government spending and control.

I would be careful in making declaring a National Emergency seem like a little thing, as liberty and freedoms seem to get stripped every time we “declare” some new wmergency or threat. Additionally shutting down the government was not frequent but now it seems every 2 years we do it. I don’t want Declaring a “National Emegency” to become the new thing we do every year.

You confuse sarcastic humor with a little bit of truth for being dramatic.

We can learn lessons from history if we choose to, or you can find out the hard way.

The grand strategy of the aging radicals who hijacked the Democratic Party over the past forty years is now apparent:

(1) At the core lie those who can't be motivated and never will; the lawsuit and lottery-ticket crowd who buy into the myth that new wealth is "stolen" rather than created, and must be redistributed. FDR's crowd taught Great-Grandpa to say "Duuh - Hoover", Grandpa parrotred "Duuuh - Goldwater", and the new class of point-and-grunts is apparently capable of saying "Duuuuh - Bush" -- for as long as they can breathe, eat, and excrete.

(2) Add to that the young and impressionable -- who haven't yet been exposed to the downside of trying to run a business, and usually aren't discreet enough to understand that sexual issues -- straight or gay -- are a private matter, to be nether suppressed or recognized via access to the state's monopoly on power. Count upon the most dogmatic and equally-irrational of social conservatives to be a walking, breathing, unwitting advertisement for the pansexual, metrosexual option.

(3) Count on the unionized educational system to continue to turn out more of the socially-indoctrinated and the marginally functional to replace the ranks of aging blind loyalists. Continue to demonize the opposition as either moneyed oppressors or religiously-obsessed misfits.

(4) Maintain a sham "business-oriented" clientele in semi-glamorous industries like entertainment and post-industrial service-sector jobs. Most of this "new peasantry" will never advance beyond handling bedpans, order-picking, or the call-center, but they will be expected to remain in the Democratic camp.

That strategy is very similar to the pattern under which the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) dominated Mexican politics for seventy years (1928-2000). Since power never passed peacefully between the two parties, and independent labor movements were regularly suppressed, few academics versed in statecraft regarded it as a "democracy". But I'm sure it would suit Obama, Clinton, Gore and the rest just fine.
Well worth quoting!

Made up national emergency because our idiot reality tv president couldn't find any other way to get his base angry and loud in support of him without feeding them more lies.

It's pretty scary.

He didn't declare a state of emergency. Do your own research.
