2020 Democratic Campaign Commercial. Can’t wait for the optics of this.
First show numerous videos of Trump raging to his base, “ Mexico will pay for a big beautiful wall,”
Next a cut to the government shutdown and Trump stealing money from FEMA and DOD to pay for a pitiful fence.

Yeah Repugs you got this! Keep dreaming.

What's up with California? Texas has e-verify for state employers and contractors. California has no e-verify at all. In fact, they have a law that prohibits localities from requiring it.

There are ten states with e-verify for all employers. 8 of them are red states. Republicans are half-ass implementing it but Democrats are flat out rejecting it.

Ha ha ha... the right wing delusion is amusing.

So a guy who lost the popular vote by 2 million AND who is less popular today than when he was elected, is going to win 49 states in the Electoral College?

Ah hee hee hoo hoo (slaps knee) that's a good one!

And around and around we go, endless cycle.

Trump declares a state of emergency to pull funding for the wall from the military budget and authorizes essential federal employees to be paid what is currently due but government remains shut down pending congressional agreement. If the courts immediate block him from appropriation of funds, there will be no congressional agreement and govt stays shut down. It will be Dems lawsuits keeping govt shut down. RBG fails soon, SCOTUS becomes 6-3 conservative by summer, Trump prevails in military funding of wall.

Ok, so I was taking your post seriously until I got to this:

Reagan fired the striking air controllers and ordered the military to occupy Grenada to stop Marxist thugs who had taken over in a coup from taking 500 U.S. medical students hostage.

Critics raged: Reagan had no right to invade. But the American people rewarded Reagan with a 49-state landslide.

I remember this very well. The Grenada invasion was a joke, a punchline, an SNL easy laugh, as were the 'hostage medical students'. It was one big joke. It was also a justification for the US meddling in another Caribbean/Central American country's politics, as the Reagan admin was wont to do. There were no traumatized medical students.

It also had nothing to with getting re-elected. That was the economy.

"...Many of the students from St. George's University School of Medicine said they had not been directly threatened or endangered by the turmoil and fighting, and some said they believed their safety had been used as an excuse by the United States to invade Grenada..."

"...Operation Urgent Fury, it was triggered by the internal strife within the People's Revolutionary Government that resulted in the house arrest and the execution of the previous leader and second Prime Minister of Grenada Maurice Bishop, and the establishment of a preliminary government, the Revolutionary Military Council with Hudson Austin as Chairman. The invasion resulted in the appointment of an interim government, followed by democratic elections in 1984. The country has remained a democratic nation since then..."

"...Subsequently, following appeals by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Governor-General of Grenada, Paul Scoon, the Reagan Administration in the U.S. quickly decided to launch a military intervention. U.S. President Ronald Reagan's justification for the intervention was in part explained as "concerns over the 600 U.S. medical students on the island" and fears of a repeat of the Iran hostage crisis..."

They most certainly do encourage their undesirables to sneak into the US:
