US service members killed in ISIS-claimed attack in Syria

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/16/polit...ity/index.html

"ISIS has claimed responsibility for a deadly explosion that killed US service members in the Syrian city of Manbij on Wednesday.

US service members were killed in the attack, according to a tweet from the spokesperson for the US-led coalition Operation Inherent Resolve."

Sorry President Trump, it seems ISIS isn't on the run after all.

I thought ISIS was defeated and our troops were coming home.

What happened?

The Constitution was ignored and we sent troops over there.
You asked me why, I just went and told you

Apparently the news of their death was a bit premature.

Mission accomplished? I see why Trump doesn’t know history now... or facts.

If you intend to occupy a country until every last person with a grudge and access to a weapon is eliminated, you'll be there forever.

But the real issue is that it was a proxy battle for influence with Russia...and we are ceding it to them.

Yea, that smug response does nothing to explain away the events that occurred today.

Someone needs to tell Pence. Hour after the attack he said ISIS was defeated. Seems this admin needs to work on communications.
