Our constitution has a fix for that. Pass constitutional amendments, if you can. Unfortunately we have one of the three branches of government abdicating it’s constitutional authority as an equal branch of government. The legislative branch is absolutely paralyzed by partisanship and fear of losing power if they do what’s right.
Fix for what? He is not asking for any changes to the Constitution. He is asking if our current policies are in line with the Constitution.
What is your opinion in that matter? Do you think the founders intended US become the world police with military bases in 170 countries and all kinds of obligations to defend the borders of other nations?

Are you so sheltered that you don’t know that it is to the benefit of the U.S. to have world peace. Do you want Russia or China to become so powerful that they can come over here and take over the US. Do you speak Russian? Hope so.....
I highly recommend that O’Rourke fans read the transcript of the interview. O’Rourke came out of it looking about as politically-aware as a sack of rocks. He needs to do some serious studying if he wants to elevate his position in American politics.
It's too late for that. It will never happen because a person Like Beto doesn't hold the Constitution as the bedrock of our nation. He already rejects the values of if. Beto and others believe that it's old and isn't valid, they can do better etc etc... The reality is they don't understand the fundamentals of the document itself. These people have no loyalty to anything and can't be trusted to do the right thing and want to fix things that aren't broken.
Unfortunately O'rouke has his supporters that will blindly follow him to the ends of the world hanging in his every word like he is a Forrest Gump out for a run across the Country believing in him to right their perceived wrong when Beto himself has no idea where he is going or what he is doing and can not comprehend the basic fundamentals of society or the Government and its inner workings. People like O'Rouke with no fraso of reality will sooner lead people off a cliff than to the promised land.

Throughout the two-hour interview — which was often interrupted by bystanders urging him to run for president — O’Rourke boomeranged between a bright-eyed hope that the United States will soon dramatically change its approach to a whole host of issues and a dismal suspicion that the country is now incapable of implementing sweeping change.
When asked which it is, O’Rourke paused.
“I’m hesitant to answer it because I really feel like it deserves its due, and I don’t want to give you a — actually, just selfishly, I don’t want a sound bite of it reported, but, yeah, I think that’s the question of the moment: Does this still work?” O’Rourke said. “Can an empire like ours with military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships…and security agreements in every continent, can it still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago?”
(can you imagine what a Constitution would look like if O-C, Mad Maxine, and Pelosi got to write it)
Sounds like someone who overdosed on one too many John Birch Society articles.
Anything from zerohedge is warped and distorted. They make even Fox News and the Two Bens (Carson and Shapiro) look like a Great Lecture Course in political science - or one of the more high-concept TED Talks.
He's not alone. Many Democrats, and leftists (same thing) view the Constitution as just an obstacle to "re-interpret" to do all their ridiculous Social Engineering which was never intended for the Feds to do in the first place.
