I think this is a great idea. If one proposes restricting rights, they better damn well know them inside and out.

Great!

What he should have said: “We have legislators drafting bills who have no idea how firearms work or any sense of firearm nomenclature,” Fortunato said. “When decision makers want to restrict someone’s constitutional rights, they should be mocked and ridiculed because government has no authority to take away inalienable rights of citizens who have broken no laws.”

Great. Next make all gun owners do the same. I mean they should not operate what they have not been trained on. Wouldn't you agree?

Absolutely. Have you been to a range lately ? Generally the ones near me have about an hour wait. Seems like many are doing just that, training.

Also just had the refresher course to update my CPL.

My next thing, hopefully within this year is to take some advanced courses in handgun and rifle. Each class requires something like 1500 rounds so need to gather some of that up, don't want to take from the stock pile.

I think gun owners should be trained, as it makes sense to have a clue how to operate the firearm you now own, but I don't think it needs to be done by government.

Reading those ridiculous quotes he included made me laugh! Stupid idiots shooting off at the mouth about something they have no clue about.

So, a couple of people have voiced that firearms owners should train, or have training. Most do. Yet , in Oregon, a bill is proposed to limit ammo to 20 rounds a month. So which is it ? Do you want training or not ?
