She'd prob mop the floor of most of this forum in a debate too. It's always funny to me how comfortable people are calling someone an "idiot" or a "moron." Hell, even Sarah Palin, whose ignorance was astonishing considering the level of political power she once held and who the right desperately wishes AOC would be, I would not consider to be a genuinely dumb person.
When has she ever said that that was her single solution to everything? She's a modern monetary theorist, which is a serious school of economic thought. What's childlike is forming strong opinions based on little to no information, as you have done here. What's funny is that "childlike" to the CD right wing = anyone who supports economic policies that are supported by liberals and progressives.

I think that when she’s eligible to become president, she would probably get elected. She’s smart, young, energetic, and is against racism, sexism, and homophobia! She also has plans for our economy that will help everyone in our country.
I dont hate her at all, in fact I find her incredibly amusing. She is as wrong as Shiela Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters and Trump combined. She loves to put her own party on the spot as often as she does the GOP and facts dont mean a thing.

To answer your question, most Americans think "capitalism" is their political system, not representative democracy.
They certainly couldn't tell you what socialism and communism are. In fact, look at the way we have to discuss either topic, as if there were only one type of socialist nation and one communist.
With respect to Representative Cortez, I honestly think things there are operating as usual. Our media is telling us that (bad) people hate Cortez because (woman/outspoken/race/ethnicity/political party).
And as usual, I both sincerely and only want to believe that it's a case of our media selling a huge narrative to the vanishingly small minority that seems to have the loudest voice and therefore appear to represent "most" Americans.
All you have to do is read through this forum in post titles and the reponces and you will find over an over libs asserting or asking "repubs hate (fill in the blanks)".
