That said, I have no dog in this fight because I think both the left AND the right are evil statists, seeking to impose THEIR will, beliefs, morality and dictates upon society, completely disregarding the limits of the respective Constitutions, federal and State.

The people who wrote the consitutions had agendas too. Heck for those State consitutions, some of those people are still alive and continue to put forth their will, beliefs, morality, and dictations.
