I flew a little over a week ago and was less stressed than ever.

It does. Thanks.

Did you still have the pleasure of a government goon feeling up your junk for no reason whatsoever?

Cuz that's the only thing I'm happy to pay taxes for...wouldn't want to lose that.

I would be leaving from Houston Bush, which already has Terminal B closed down. I could conceivably cancel the trip, but that might put me in hot water with the company. I'm not sure. I have not broached the subject with them yet because I was hoping this would be over. But what about safety? Maybe we should just hope the shutdown ends before I need to leave (Feb 11th) and pay more for the tickets after it ends (assuming it does). Thoughts?
In my opinion just a bunch of fear mongering from the media.

I think everything should be shut down until we get the wall built...no flying, no trips, no paychecks, no FBI, no IRS, no welfare checks, nothing.

I did cause I left two quarters in my pocket.

No problem. We are all monkeys on this rock. I have one and you have one. Wow.

Well, you'd have to then tell us that the ATC controllers themselves (at our nearby airport) are lying.......

No, it's not hype. It's mass punishment by a poorly behaved child.

Never forget that.

That would be years from now. The $5.7 billion (or $7 billion, whatever Trump wants now, I'm confused) is merely a down payment on the $25+ billion total cost.

I even allow the doctor and nurses to fiddle with me. Imagine that.

Nothing sacred about this bunch of water...and neurons. Dust to dust, my friend.

My happiness is that it took less time to get 1200 miles in the plane than to drive to the airport.
