Sorry but I can't help but wonder if it were a white person who had done this and then was exonerated of the alleged crimes, whether there would be people out protesting and/or violence and looting in the streets ?
I'm certain that many blacks are thrilled that he got off, not caring at all that he lied about being attacked or that he caused unnecessary political and racial division in a time where we should be trying to bridge the gap between us . Brings up memories of OJ in some regards.

I’m not sure what liberals are happy about. This casts doubt on hate crimes. You would think they would be more angry bout it than conservatives.
Personally, I think this guy’s career is over, which I think for him, is everything. A much worse punishment than a couple of months in jail. I dont think he will handle being one of the “regular people” very well.
When you have the liberal mayor of Chicago chastising him, I think we can all agree he was guilty. At least anyone with an IQ above 80. And who knows, maybe all the evidence Emanuel was talking about will be leaked to the press.
I didn't vote in the poll, but I never believed he wasn't attacked - above is my first post in this thread. I always thought he was probably attacked by some black men.
In his interview with Robin Roberts he actually didn't say that the attackers had on MAGA hats and he didn't say he knew for sure that they were white.
As I noted, black hetero men often attack black gay men. I've known many black gay men who were attacked just because they were gay. It is the main "hate crime" perpetuated by and against black people in America. Nigerians in particular do not agree with or like homosexuality and I felt, upon learning that two Nigerian born brothers were involved that they got their story straight for police and police believed them because there is a stereotype of gay men as "drama queens."
I expected the charges to be dropped or for him to be acquitted if it went to trial as he has always been consistent in his narrative and CPD never provided any evidence that this was not an actual attack on him. The media accounts tried to make it seem like a white on black crime, not Jussie himself. It is another indication IMO of how people jump to conclusions and fail to look at the fine details of a media story.

Even though I don't outright believe many of these sorts of stories, the fact that he is a pretty well known star makes me not think he'd lie and make up a story like this. Also read his rib was cracked/broken.
Believe what you will about Chicago. The odds of a black man being attacked by white men are pretty low here.

Hey I'm a big AOC fan. Yes, she is a complete wack-A-doddle, but nice T&A, so she does have one (1) redeeming quality. Otherwise she is bat crap crazy, all ya need would be some duck tape...
