No way will it be allowed. Although it could save the democrats free health care for everyone idea because it would free up an awful lot of service providers. But it’s not going to happen so.....

I'm not sure it will happen, but not for the reasons you state.

Cancer is more of an umbrella term for a multitude of different diseases. I would think it very difficult to find something that will unilaterally cure all types of cancer.

There is no hidden cancer cure that "they" are suppressing. There are a lot of reasons why such a miracle would/could not be hidden, even if such a thing was possible.

I’m not buying it anyways, We’re able to put the cancer in remission but not cure it.

As someone who actually does cancer research, this is more close to the truth.

"Cancer" is a very heterogeneous set of pathologies that share a small amount of commonality between them. Even within "cancer types" (which are really more about region of the body affected), there can be great variation in mechanisms and causes.

Don't get me wrong - there are major and significantly-impactful treatments being developed currently, especially in personalized treatments and immunotherapy methods. But there likely isn't a magic bullet yet.

I would love for there to be. And it greatly upsets me when people think researchers working on this are really hiding something.

By makinh such announcements companies generally are looking to increase investment and share value, and things are often not what they seem.

I don't disagree with the synopsis, but.

If they share a commonality and can be isolated and differentiated by that commonality (say cell membrane antigens or something), then it's technically feasible, presuming such a treatment doesn't have worse side effects.

I read about this yesterday. Oncology is not my specialty, but the science seems sound to me. I will be with some oncologists over the weekend, and I think we are sure to discuss it.

If this works out, it will be a real test of the BDS movement. I wonder if they will boycott these drugs, or is the boycott just a bunch of BS?

Yeah the Israelis were also supposed to have a cure for presbyopia. So much for that.

They just announced these eye drops less than a year ago. Last I read it is in phase 2 trials.

Do you know something about it that I haven’t heard?

What is the real reason for your post?

Isn't this how the Will Smith movie version of "I Am Legend" started?
