"In a way that leaves a false impression of freedom and democracy"
Per the link :
Fox Business added, "President Trump has vowed to use the 'full weight' of America's power to help the poverty-stricken country go from a socialist state to a genuinely democratic Venezuela." This may be the goal of Trump, who later spoke to Guaido over the phone, but the members of the Socialist International orchestrating this regime change do not want to see the end of a socialist state in Venezuela.
It is not possible use them interchangeably. One can exist without the other, both can exist together or neither can exist together. They are two different things, two different topics.
Thanks for pointing this out. Some people never learn.
So many people who consider themselves knowledgeable conservatives spend a lifetime no knowing what they are talking about.
- Ignore the negative news about Trump, and simply not report it
- Spin it, and make negative look positive
The problem is that it is not honest, and its not news, it is propaganda.
Wrong again based on the evidence.
The neg. Trump news gets quite a lot of coverage.
They constantly run clips of liberal media and what they are claiming.
So in a way you are right in that the do cover the liberal propaganda.
Then offer the conservative POV.

If the "liberal media" shows Trump's tweets, and him saying something idiotic on TV, then they are obviously not "claiming" anything, they are reporting the news. FOX chooses to omit it, or spin it in order to make him look better. Its propaganda. Feel free to believe it. But thanks for pointing out how FOX desperately tries to defend Trump after he has been exposed by the free press. That was pretty much my point.
1)Fox is leftwing media but it does offer more conservative POV than the others, along with libertarian etc...
2)In conservative opinion they are not honestly reporting on Venezuela. Example :
Linsey Graham was just on Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartiromo. Linsey said, Trump wants to help the Venezuelan people restore democracy. Sounds good but what he doesn't say is its the same socialist democracy that both Maduro and his opposition leader believe in and want.
Maduro is a bad guy with bad intent and supported by communist Cuba, China, and Russia. Replacing him with Guaido still leaves a socialist democrat in place and no guarantee that Cuba, China, and Russia won't step back in later and the same deplorable conditions restored. Replacing one dictator with another with the same ideology is worthy of discussion. It might be the best we can do but is it worth doing or getting involved in.

Yes, that was your point and it is the same kind of propaganda that is seen 24/7 on liberal media that is 90% neg. reporting on Trump.
Would you agree that you offer neg. comments on Trump 90 to 100 % of the time ?
I have no problem admitting I support Trump and comment pos. 99% of the time. This thread falls in the 1%.
Conservatives are being scammed by liberal Fox News on Venezuela. Democracy is use interchangeably with socialism. In a way that leaves a false impression of freedom and democracy.
Don't get my message wrong. Fox is still far better than other leftist media but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be called out when they try to fool people.
Guaido is every bit the socialist that Maduro is.
Why would it be better to support one over the other when they are both going in the same direction ? When supporters of Guaido are talking to media they talk about democracy. Leaving off what they really are talking about is Socialist Democracy. The same thing and path to destruction as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders and most of the democrat presidential hopefuls want for America.
If not knowing what Guaido and his supporters are really talking about it sounds much different. Trish Regan of Fox Business coverage of Guaido leaves a false impression.
More seriously, the replacement of a communist thug by a different kind of socialist will not eliminate the the predecessor to Maduro, in the Armed Forces and intelligence service. Even with amnesty, they would stay behind, with help from Russia, Cuba, and China, to destabilize any new regime and spark a full-blown civil war, perhaps leading to calls for U.S. military intervention.
I don't think anyone at any news media source, including Fox, has any input as to which president of Venezuela they like better. In fact, pretty much all I hear about on Fox is what a disaster Venenzuela is in regards to socialism.

US politicians are making it clear who they support, and to the extent they are reported on, its in the media coverage.
