He thinks of himself as the smartest guy in the room. Unfortunately that room is empty.

Typical juvenile remarks from the left.

The GOP got what they wanted: A con man to rally the base. And an empty suit to sign bills and appoint cronies.

Republicans have been headed for Trump for some time.

Lies, smear campaigns, bogus conspiracy theories, shilling for the wealthy ... Trump's the epitome of a Republican.

Trump lost SO MUCH of his power when he caved and reopened the govt. I no longer support him solely because of this. He lied right out in the open, he claimed he would keep it shut down for months even years, security of the nation was just too important to give in or settle....and he gave in around the 1 month mark?!! How pathetic and weak is that?! LOL

The worst part about this, he let everyone know what his weakness is, so if he tried the same thing again, it would very easy to shut him down and force him to cave again.

Its right.. He wants to be perceived as strong and thinks he's tough but when he's challenged he's very weak.. Its not hard to understand

The Shrunken State of Donald Trump’s Presidency

'The Harvard political scientist Richard Neustadt famously remarked that the Oval Office “is no place for amateurs.” This is because, as Neustadt pointed out in his book “Presidential Power and the Modern Presidents,” which was originally published in 1960, the Presidency is, structurally, a weak office. Its occupant has to deal with Congress and the courts as co-equal branches of government. Even inside the sprawling executive branch, it isn’t easy to direct Cabinet secretaries, agency heads, and career public officials, many of whom have their own expertise and agendas. Given this challenging environment, Neustadt concluded, “Presidential power is the power to persuade.” If a President loses the ability to bring other players along with him, he is lost."

...Bingo.
Dream on !!! Its all you have.

1) Only crazy right sees me as left. Then again, they said Bob Inglis was a liberal RINO.
2) Trump himself said similar

Basically, shutting down the government was a lose-lose for Trump. His already low approval ratings tanked even further, and the House dems. were winning that battle. Shutting down the government and screwing over the people who it would hurt the most is not the way to get your way. Declaring most terrorists come across the southern border was also a stupid move. Most come through the airports, the very thing that was threatened during the shutdown. The contractors that didn't get paid also felt the sting, and people were furloughed because of it. They didn't get back pay. It was a disaster the first time, and it will be a bigger one if it's repeated.

The wall is a black hole of stupid. The only thing it will accomplish is to move the problem further down the road. It won't solve anything. All the illegals need to breach the wall is a ladder or a shovel. They've already proved that.
