A Kentucky teacher has been arrested and accused of providing a 15-year-old boy with alcohol before having sex with him last year.
Amy Hamilton, 40, turned herself into authorities on Monday. The Harrison County Prosecutor charged her with felony sexual misconduct with a minor. Hamilton, who currently teaches in Oldham County, Kentucky, was also charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Her bond was $5,000.
Compare that to this 30-year old male teacher who was charged with having sex with a 15-year old student. His bond? One million dollars.

A comparison of charges the 30 year old man had 6 felony charges including rape. The woman one charge as far as I can tell. Or two, one being contributing due to giving alcohol to the student.
Whats your point. The DA in AL threw the book at the defendant, the DA didnt in KY. Charges and punishments vary from state to state, district to district, court to court, by gender, by race, by age. Its human fallibility. Courts are not fair and often corrupt.

OP could have pointed out stories like this:

Sentencing disparities in child-sex-assault cases point to double standard
Women in Colorado convicted of sexually assaulting a child in their care are far less likely to go to prison than men sentenced for the same crime.
A Denver Post analysis of sentencing data provided by the Colorado Judicial Branch shows that of the 2,128 men convicted of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust from 2006 through 2010, more than 50 percent were sent to prison.
She's a pedophile and should be treated as such. Her penalties should be the same as a male offender.
Of course, whenever one of these stories appears, you'll see a bunch of comments from men saying, "Where were these teachers when I was a kid?" and it undermines the severity of the problem of women preying upon boys.
Not the best looking, but she would’ve sufficed when I was 15.
Geez...I went to school in the wrong era.
