I guess we’ll have to action off the Picasso or sell the villa in France. Am I winning yet?

Because middle class people are too stupid and lazy to file a long form.

Short form was 1040EZ, for simple folk. Now we all simple folk. I just lost a few IQ points filin' muh post card.

well actually the new 1040 is very short... 1/2 page

its up to you if you want to fill out all the "supporting" pages.... you could do your "civic duty" and pay "your fair share" of taxes on the face value of the 1040

or you can do what a majority of filers do,,, fill out as many forms as you can to pay the least within the law

I have filled out the long form for over 40 years.... certainly not rich, and sorry but since I am able to read, I don't need to waste money on an accountant that I can NOT afford to begin with

True giving....... Listen to yourself.

Nah, he doesn’t charge us because I help him with his backlog during tax season (I’m not a CPA, but have an accounting degree)

Okay, sure. In some bizarro world, a tax cut means going from a couple thousand back every year to owing over $5000.

Great, and I already stated why that example is moronic. I wouldn't be proud of it.

I contribute to many charities. I've filed standard deduction for years. Go figure.
