SOOOOOO HAAAPPPPY your rich 1% buddies got a tax break, they REEEAAAALLY need it.

Congrats however, now I know I'm voting for ANYONE but Trump.
Imagine what you will reap if democrats take over in 2020!!!!!!!

You think the democrats free stuff will not impact your paycheck????????????

'Small Business Survey, which found 53% of small businesses planned to grow in 2018, up from 46% in 2017. The number of small business owners planning to recruit more staff increased from 9% to 22% in the same year"

That 1% deserves a break!!!: Top 1% paid as much in federal income taxes as bottom 95%.

Go back and read the analysis and prognostications that were made at the time the GOP was having their kegger in the Rose Garden. Because for Trump and those guys in the Rose Garden--nothing mattered other than a win. They hurt a lot of people and they knew exactly what they were doing.

Really--why would they give everyone tax cuts when the economy is good, unemployment is low and the deficit is massive? Dumb idea--average people do not sound like they thought it was a good thing. But, just another reason not to vote for any of them in 2020.

This was a cover for giving corporate America and the one percent a gift. Trump basically admitted as much.
Bringing corporate tax rates to 21% to match what other countries in the world charge, and thereby stopping capital flight, was an excellent move. And, let's not forget one thing which you lefties always seem to forget. Lowering tax rates means people and corporations get to keep more of their own money. Money they earned and own in the first place. A tax break is a move toward basic justice. It is not giving anything to anyone, it is stealing less!

I even had an additional $100/month taken out just to buffer any tax changes.

Play any Fox News propaganda you want but, I was better off WITHOUT Trump's gift to the wealthy.

I did two of my kids taxes; one did about the same because of being a full time student and working full time, the other went from $2500 back last year to owing $100 this year.

I can't do worse with a socialist.

Not so much. First of all, the end user/consumer pays corporate taxes. The cost of taxes is included as overhead in the pricing formula for goods/services. Secondly, the $10,000 SALT tax deduction cap that eliminated the formerly unlimited SALT tax deduction loophole is highly disproportionately negatively impacting the rich:
Quote:
"A $1 million-plus wage earner came to her tax preparer last weekend to see what the Trump tax cuts, which went into effect for the 2018 tax year, would mean for her tax return due April 15. And boy, was she disappointed. Last year, she deducted $245,500 in real estate taxes, state income taxes and personal property taxes. This year her deduction for these state and local taxes was limited to just $10,000, because of the new SALT cap. ADVERTISEMENT
“It’s a real hit,” says her tax pro, Claudia Hill, an enrolled agent in Cupertino, California. “This is why people who have this kind of situation are screaming.”

...To fully benefit from the reduction in the top income tax rate, you’d have to live in a state with no state income tax, says tax lawyer Kaye Thomas, who figures that California’s highest earners are facing a federal effective rate that’s 2.7 percentage points higher in 2018 than 2017 because of the interaction between state and federal taxes. (He explains the math in Tax Reform’s Wealthy Losers)."

What kind of DUFUS gives the maximum amount of money they can to the GOVT, interest free to use the entire year, to get that same amount of money back the following year?

It's like loaning your neighbor money each month, which they put into a interest account (and get to keep) to get the same money you let them borrow back but the following year?

You can't make this kind of stupid up.

Their tax guy isn't going to explain it because that's how they get these fools to keep coming back.
