Sounds like people are losing patience with inept politicians and getting border security done themselves. First with We Build The Wall and now this. More power to them all!
Two members of the Texas House of Representatives are preparing a bill that would provide $2.5 billion to fund a border wall. The proposal would take the money from Texas’ “Rainy Day Fund.”
A 2014 study from the Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR) concluded that the cost of providing education, health care, law enforcement, and social/government services to migrants who entered the U.S illegally is an estimated $12.1 billion per year. The costs today could be higher as the percentage of migrants classified as FMUA or UAC increased dramatically.
Fair enough. Using Texas money should (but won't) silence those who say it's a waste of money.
Using the $12B confiscated from El Chapo ought to finish the deal.
It's getting built one way or the other other.
Good. Hopefully they’ll put it completely around their state.
Anyway, that’s rubbish. Texas will never build a border wall. If you know conservative Texans like I do, you’d know their mouths are way bigger than their actual intentions. They’re the very definition of “long on mouth, short on action.”
If they could build a wall around all the bull**** they talk, it’d reach the planet Uranus. 🙄

Chapo is not running the cartel anymore though, he no longer has access to cartel funds, whoever the new guy is, has that access now.

That's called "All hat, no cattle" in Texas.
And if they even tried that - there will be endless lawsuits over getting the rights for the land via eminent domain.

Well, isn't that special bless your heart.
Let me know what that means in Texas.
