How do you close the gap between rich and poor?

What we know is it won't be by putting it in the vice of socialism. That debate is a dead end leading to the graveyard.

Because its a threat to our democracy when a tiny elite has enormous power to control the political system. You have to choose, either democracy or massive inequality. If you choose oligarchy over democracy you are simply working as a shill for the rich.

What more do you want?

Do you want me to take the classes for them, so they can pass?

There's opportunities a-plenty. If they refuse to take advantage of them, there's nothing that can be done, right?

They do it because they know deep down that you are right. Inequality like today is highly corrosive for society, and they know it.

First of all, not true. In fact the opposite! Read my opening comment again and you might notice how I explain a person will be for or against these sorts of efforts depending on their views about "closing the gap between rich and poor."

Wanting to "enrich" oneself, as I have always strived to do, on my own behalf and family is a far cry from wanting more poor people to struggle or have access to the same opportunity to do so.

THERE ARE OVER 80 TAXPAYER FUNDED ANTI POVERTY PROGRAMS IN THIS COUNTRY. When you subsidize something, you get MORE of it, not less.

In the case of this particular answer, very wrong!

Hadn't really thought about that. Thanks for the help.

Simple! Just vote to get the government to steal money from anyone that has more than you. The "poor" have the numbers, so what's taking them so long?

If the "poor" weren't so lazy they could ruin this county in a just a few election cycles.

I guess that's why the dems need so many illegal Mexicans. You know, they do the jobs Americans won't.
