I could add to the long thread, but I want a poll on this. I just head that Smollett paid the Nigerians with a check. I also heard that he still had his Subway sandwich on him when the police came to his apartment. He fought off his attackers and didn't even lose his sandwich??? Looks like the most incompetent hoax ever. Could he be THAT stupid? OR - stay with me on this twisted logic - did the network pay him lots of money to stage the hoax for publicity? Won't this get more people to watch Empire?
It's an interesting theory. But my personal opinion was that it was about helping Kamala Harris and/or Cory Booker in their Presidential bids. So I guess maybe my answer is yes. But for different reasons.
