Oh, yes. Censorship is just so critical to the world's survival.

Let's have a look at the people charged with saving humanity.

Quote:
The Verge published an explosive look inside the facilities of Cognizant, a Facebook contractor that currently oversees some of the platform’s content moderation efforts. In the story, employees who requested anonymity for fear of losing their jobs described the emotional and psychological trauma of their work. Some smoked weed during breaks to calm their nerves. Others described being radicalized by the very content they were charged with policing. Most made just $28,000 a year.
Is it any surprise that the people moderating the comments are high on weed while doing so? Or that they seem to have psychological issues? They even describe themselves as being "radicalized".

But wait, it get's better.

Facebook moderators in developing countries like India are even worse off, according to a recent Reuters report. Contractors at Genpact, an outsourcing firm with offices in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, each view about 2,000 posts over the course of an eight-hour shift. They make about $1,400 a year; that’s roughly 75 cents an hour.
Yes, that's how it sounds. Apparently, "foreign actors" are in charge of censoring social media posts. The same posts that these companies claim are being censored to prevent "foreign influence on our elections". So foreigners are in charge of preventing foreign influence.

The Comment Moderator Is The Most Important Job In The World Right Now

I wonder how many moms are going to take issue with that since they have long claimed that being a mom is the most important job in the world.

Nope, move aside mom, it's the censorship patrol now.

Buzzfeed can raise all the kids by censoring everything that they say until they get so frustrated not knowing wth they can actually say that they'll go postal one day.
