People murdered by Nazis: 17 million
People murdered by all Communism: 0
People murdered by totalitarian dictators (Stalin, Mao, Lenin, Pol Pot, etc.): 110 million
To be precise, communism is an economic system and by itself does not kill. It is possible to have a peaceful and humane communist society, e.g., indigenous tribes and hippie communes.
It isn't necessary for murderous dictators to function within a communist economy. They can thrive and be just as nasty under capitalism.
Wow! I thought I have seen everything but I have never seen some people would try to wash the sins off the evil.
Not to mention he moved the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, infuriating many in the region as well as the Western left but appeasing Israel. A lot of the she people who accuse him of being a Nazi also accuse him of being a tool of the Zionist illuminati...

What a repugnant post. I knew you were one of the worst partisans on this forum but this is awful.

They are both ideologies that belong in the trash heap. Brutal, destructive, and dehumanizing. And they both have a great deal in common.
The main difference is that Communism purports to create a utopia of egalitarianism and social justice via heavy handed state control. Invariably this leads to widespread destruction. Communism is a victim of its own naivete.
Nazism puts on no such airs. It states what it wants to do and how it will do it, destruction be damned.
There is no place for either in this world.
I like this answer. You could probably locate individual historical Communists who were idealistic and "good people" but it might be tough to identify Nazi ideologues in the history books who had much to personally recommend themselves. As for the philosophies ...
Communism is a failed economic philosophy that lent itself to use by various murderous dictators who applied "class struggle" to its literal extreme. Nazism explicitly rejected class conflict and instead sought to define a racially pure homogeneous society that redefined society from a nationalistic perspective.
The two "isms" were antithetically opposed to each other in a number of characteristics but then similar in that both lent themselves to totalitarism.
I don't think that communism is that looked highly upon. If anything the left wants Democratic Socialism. Claiming they are communists is a straw argument that needs to stop. What I will say is that communism itself didn't kill people, communist leaders would however while Nazism was inherently killing people whether they were Jewish, gypsies, homosexuals and communists alike.
Do you have a better source than the leftist/communist propaganda?
