Can’t we just split the country into blue states and red states? Trump has proven beyond a doubt that the red states and blue states can't work together, so why don't we stop pretending we can and just split the country?

Just allow people time to migrate to the state of their choosing. I don't want to have to decide whether or not to go back to church and fake being a fundamentalist Christian or risk being charged and imprisoned or executed for apostasy.

There's no way we'd be able to agree on how the country will be split. Not every state is simply blue or red either.

No because left/right voters are spread all throughout the states, just in different ratios.

California is thought of as one of the most liberal states there is. Yet my area is pretty red and there are a lot of Trump supporters here.

People are voting with their feet by fleeing liberal hellholes and moving to red states. The question is will they change their voting habits or make the entire country into the third world dumps they abandoned?

Yeah. Even if the attempt succeeded would it have solved the problems? Nope. There will always be extreme opinions and intolerant individuals in every community no matter where it is geographically.

LOL. If people want to "flee" my state, that's okay with me. I'm more than happy to enjoy my "liberal hellhole" with less people in it.

It would be tough on the Red States.....

As it stands BLUE states transfer cash to RED states through federal taxation... Without the BLUE money many states just could not make it, and the rest would have a tough time supporting them..

Of course it would be a massive fiscal win for the Blue states, we could use all that extra money to build walls to keep the economic refugees from Red states coming to work in our wealthy blue states.

BTW red state republicans, it would be nice if you thanked us Blue state dems for supporting your states all these years...
