This got virtually no attention less than two months ago. 20 killed... 111 injured...

At least 20 people killed as bombs target Sunday Mass in Philippines cathedral

Two bombs exploding minutes apart tore through a Roman Catholic cathedral on a southern Philippine island where Muslim militants are active, killing at least 20 people and wounding 111 others during a Sunday Mass, officials said.

Witnesses said the first blast inside the Jolo cathedral in the provincial capital sent churchgoers, some of them wounded, to stampede out of the main door. Army troops and police posted outside were rushing in when the second bomb went off about one minute later near the main entrance, causing more deaths and injuries.

Maybe because their (anti-Muslim) Dictator has killed thousands, approved of rape, etc. - all extra-judicially?
Just on one front - their war on drugs:

"Duterte is perpetrating a ruthless “war on drugs,” which has taken the form of a violent war on suspected drug users. Most victims of the drug war are poor people from the slums. A police memo ordered that suspected drug users be “neutralized” or killed. The government admits to killing at least 4,410 people suspected of drug use as of July 31, 2018. Independent sources put the number at 23,000. The police claim that they acted in self-defense."

Trump, BTW, praises this guy.

Why don't we hear more about Duerte?

Trump truly lives in your mind 24/7. This tragedy has nothing to do with him.

Are you saying that the media didn't give this coverage because of their Dictator's political leanings or are you saying that this bombing wasn't as important because of that? I'm having a very hard time trying to dumb this down angle enough to make your reply logical.

Funny, CNN, NYtimes, ABC, NPR, WAPO, NBC, and WSJ all covered it, and that was just on the first page of results.

Neither does the Constitutional power of Congress to allocate funds but when spoiled brat Donny doesn't get his way he tries to interfere with that power. But you'll of course ignore other things that have nothing to do with Trump as long as they suit the misguided Trump agenda.

I read it at the time. It was literally everywhere. Of course the US media doesn't give it that much leg because its mostly brown people dying, and the majority of Americans haven't got a clue where the Philippines is anyways, just that it's not near the Cracker Barrel.

Looking at your post count, and the fact that you post here regularly - you probably get it.

This bombing does not serve the propagandists main narrative. In this case, Catholics are the victims... radical Islam is likely the offender... they can't ding Trump or white men... so it's not worthy to be mentioned as a big story.

This incident would seem to be on par with what happened in NZ, with more people injured.

It wasn't highlighted in this area of the forum. Those who were aware of it when it occurred thought it was not important enough to post. I just found it today.
