It was known Russia tried to interfere with the election and I believe it was sixteen people with ties to the Trump campaign/administration had ties to the Russians so sorry, I'm not buying this fantasy that the investigation had no purpose other than derailing Trump. I'm not talking about "the investigation", i.e., the investigation into alleged Russian interference and potential collusion. I'm talking about before that, when there were no such allegations.
