No one person in ANY state should have more power than another.
Your vote should not count more towards the presidency in any way (including winner takes all)
Then get busy finding the 38 states you are going to need, to change the constitution. Because if you try any kind of a short cut, and start counting votes inappropriately, the supreme court is going to step in and tell you, NOPE !

Yeah.
Or adjust the amount of votes that go to each state.
The current votes per state should be relative to the population and more closely match today’s reality. If we divide the population by the number of votes, this should be close. The reality is it’s no where NEAR close. This hands over too much power to states with smaller populations.
I vote independent, but would never want New York and California to decide an election, which is essentially what would happen due to the percentage of the population these two states have. This is the very definition of mob rule that the founders were trying to protect against.
No thanks.
With that said, like most of the whining I tend to see on the internet, I doubt the electoral college is going away anytime soon.
NY + CA is what, not even 20% of the US electorate? There's no way any candidate could ever win based on support just in those two states, even if they won 100% of the vote there, which they wouldn't.
Please explain why the electoral college needs to go and how the smaller states and rural areas dont matter?
Also, why didnt't abolishing of the college come up when democrats won elections?

Sad thing, I've witnessed big city commissioners, mayors and judges band together against the one little commissioner trying to protect his/her constituents from big city development, but lose to the big city dwellers because they hope to use the new expanding development into rural areas to push their gerrymandering and neverending taxes. And these big city wigs are always democrats while the rural folk tend to be either Republican or moderate democrat. So, it just goes to show the democrats don't care about the little folk, or the environment like they claim, because everytime they approve these big developments, the little guy always gets pushed out, the environment takes a hit.
Eh, I give it about another 20 years from now, and all of the indoctrinated kids will be voting, as well as all of the mass influx of immigrants, and they are all being brainwashed by the democrats to destroy the constitution and the United States. And I hope I am dead when that happens, because it will be complete chaos while China and Russia fight to get control of the USA once it falls (and it will with the modern day democrats in complete control for 10 years or more)
