You can always read the past Democratic party platforms, they are online. You should notice some common themes running back for decades.
But that's not as much fun as trolling and spinning.

Here is the overview for anyone that cares. It's an interesting contrast.

Democratic platform high level goals/values

RAISE INCOMES AND RESTORE ECONOMIC SECURITY FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS
CREATE GOOD-PAYING JOBS
FIGHT FOR ECONOMIC FAIRNESS AND AGAINST INEQUALITY
BRING AMERICANS TOGETHER AND REMOVE BARRIERS TO OPPORTUNITIES
PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS, FIX OUR CAMPAIGN FINANCE SYSTEM, AND RESTORE OUR DEMOCRACY
COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE, BUILD A CLEAN ENERGY ECONOMY, AND SECURE ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
PROVIDE QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE EDUCATION
ENSURE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL AMERICANS
PRINCIPLED LEADERSHIP
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND KEEP FAITH WITH OUR VETERANS
CONFRONT GLOBAL THREATS
PROTECT OUR VALUES

Republican platform high level goals/values

Country is exceptional
Constitution should be honored, valued, and upheld
Leaders should serve people, not special interests
Families and communities should be strong and free from government intrusion
Institution of traditional marriage is the foundation of society
Government should be smaller, smarter and more efficient
Health care decisions should be made by us and our doctors
Paychecks should not be wasted on poorly run government programs
Military must be strong and prepared to defend our shores
Culture should respect and protect life
Children should never be left in failing schools
Veterans should have the best care and opportunities in the world
Social programs should help lift people out of poverty
America should be energy independent

We have a republican party supposedly supports Christian values and fiscal conservancy yet they back a president that paid off two porn stars and record deficits, and you're asking what does the democratic party stand for.

You really have no clue, do you?

Your private insurance is charging you more, those on medicaide are getting better service. I don't know if you are on ACA or employer insurance. I am on employer insurance. My out of pocket is over $10k a year, because I have a kid with an illness. That does not include what my employer pays. I would GLADLY pay another 5 or 10% in taxes JUST to go toward healthcare, and I'd come out ahead.

Right now, the insurance companies are sticking it to us, they are deciding who gets care and who doesn't, all based on profit quotas, and the poor are getting a free ride that WE (I assume you are a working person, maybe not?) are paying for.

USA has the highest per capita healthcare cost in the industrialized world, and far from the best. People may complain in Canada and UK, but even the heartiest of conservatives I know from those countries are forced to admit that while they hate it, they would not trade what they have for what the USA has.

Yes, the ultra-rich will still come to USA for their specialty procedures and operations. That would not go away with UHC, there will always be a market for "boutique" healthcare.

If I read all of your posts, you really have no clue about economics, healthcare, or especially how bad you are cheering on your own abuse by the current system. (I am a free-market, Adam Smith kind of guy. I believe in capitalism, but this is one of VERY FEW instances where the drivers of capitalism do not work.)

4) We need to bribe people for their vote and hence we will promise free health care, free college, student loan forgiveness, guarantees income for people unwilling to work, and a minimum wage so high that it will put people out of work

Result: Trump wins.
Those are some of the tools they have in their tool box for the job. They're overall objective is, be on top, become and maintain personal wealth at the tax payer's expense, and big government. They craft a system that keeps them on top. Being on top, they craft and enforce all of the one way rules. These rules are for the "little people" (tax payers / general public). The democrat leadership's objective is to: 1)become, maintain, and increase their personal wealth. 2) Craft and enforce rules for purposes that keep them in power but that they themselves do not follow. The checklist above is the means that provides their overall objective. Illegal immigrants means votes to keep them in power, wealthy and at the top.

Notice how many housing developments are suddenly popping up everywhere? They need a place to house all these people they're importing from across the boarders for voting purposes. Healthcare, keeping their voters healthy enough to continue voting for them.

Anything that threatens their objective gets attacked. And that's precisely what we saw happening to Trump leading up to the 2016 presidential election and what has continued after Trump won the election.

Not true at all. They do oppose money wasting political theatre, which you will note also happened when the Republicans controlled the congress.

I was just having a convo with a co-worker about this and I basically said that I'm not getting a clear and positive message from the dem front runners.

They need to run on something other than Trump sucks, trying to lower the voter age, and talk of how border walls are immoral.

I liked it back in the day when the Dems were against unchecked illegals, fought for unions, worked to keep big companies in check.

Now the Dems, hell, I don't even know what they even care about anymore.

The Democrats used to be about fighting for ordinary working people (the bottom 99%). It’s hard to tell what they stand for now, other than blaming poor white men for all of the country’s problems.

The far-left platform can be summed up:

  • Slogan: "Shut Up And Obey!"
  • Message: "Surrender control of your critical faculties."

Maybe someone here can help.
