It's not about population, it's about the fact that Wales are so "cucked" by England (as some right-wingers say), they don't even have their own football league (NI, is ballsy enough to field a team that plays Irish football, and Welsh teams suffer at the bottom of Premier League), the language last time I went there was pretty much dead, and Wales is a "meme" of a country. Great people though, but the statistics nationwide are now grouped as "Scotland", "Northern Ireland" and "England and Wales". In ten years they might as well remove Wales from the official name (UK), because it will be as unique as Cornwall (Which used to be it's own culture) is today.
I know you don't like vice, so I specifically chose this article to show left-wing media is about the only group who don't think Welsh language and culture is dead/dying.
I think this is likely what desertdetroiter was trying to say when he mentioned Wales, "It's basically Western England at this point" and could be omitted from the UK. Hence the fat that the Welsh voted with the English means nothing, it' the English voting with the English.
I would pay extremely good money to watch you attempt to say this in a Welsh pub.
Obviously I wouldn't let them kick all of the crap out of you.
But I'd have a very good laugh at them trying.

I'd pay too.
That said, I wouldn't step in, it would be none of my business, except to point and laugh.
Love the arrogance of folks who probably have never met anyone from Wales telling us about Wales.
So folks voted against the pro-Brexit party because they didn't bring about Brexit, yet voted for the pro-EU parties?
How does this make sense?
Which 'pro-Brexit' party did they vote against?
Can't be the Tories they've had a whole year demonstrating they're not pro Brexit in anything but lip service. It's not Labour either, they're currently singing on about a second referendum again.
We'll see what happens in a couple of weeks when the EU elections happen and a real Brexit party is up for election.
Why is it that those on the right, regardless of nationality, are always so excited for folks to "get the crap beat out of them?"
Who's excited?
If what was said it true, then there's nothing to see. If what was said is complete hogwash, then arrogance and stupidity deserve just rewards. Don'tcha think?

If arrogance and stupidity got their just rewards, the folks who sold Brexit on myths and misinformation would be first up.
Their subject line doesn't match the facts does it?
I'm confused.
Sarcasm. Sorry, I tried to lay it on thick, but in today's political climate...
