Trump is going to be known for, among many other things, as being the President who was handed a booming economy and intentionally turned it into the worst recession since the Great Depression. Most people will laugh at that now, but in 2-3 years it will be the case.
Not much to be optimistic with the economy right now. It feels like late 2007 all over again except with incompetent leadership.
He's even got the trillion dollar annual deficits going during a supposed economic boom.. Pure incompetence and malpractice
The US consumer does pay the cost of tariffs, but it also pays the cost of unfair trade deals and the societal costs of offshoring our production capabilities.
So let me get this straight, when someone is clearly stealing our lunch money day in and day out we should just sit, relax and do nothing about it? How does this even make sense? Or maybe China stealing our technologies, cheating us on trades in broad daylight are all fake news? Can someone with a common sense tell me the answer here?
It is possible to make things here in our backyard, hell just employ the millions of illegal immigrants who are already here, they are more than willing to do whatever for minimum wage and a path to citizenship. Jeez, how hard is that?
People don't have the skills for the jobs that are already out there. We need to start re-investing in our own citizens. The trades are sadly lacking these days. I agree, why not invest in the education of the people who are here, even those who are here illegally. Sadly though, I think people are addicted to "cheap." In order for workers to be paid a good wage, cost of goods and services would have to go higher. I don't know that a lot of people want to pay for that, or even if they can afford to pay for it.
This is something informed people have known for a long time. Same with the tariffs previous Presidents have used and you said nothing about. Is it any wonder people don't respect your hypocritical posts?
