According to Gary Hufbauer of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, "if $500 billion in Chinese exports are hit with a 25 percent tariff, the annual cost for a three-person household would be $2,200. "
My individual income tax rate(normal middle class here) went down 3% under the tax reform, I'm cool with that.
It doesn't take into account though, that if that household spends $2,200 more and have options for US, Japanese, or items of more quality origin, that they will last longer and cost less in the long term.
So will I. I'm proud to pay American workers over Chinese sweatshops. The Democrats talk the talk but evidently can't walk the walk.
I keep hearing that from you folks, yet Walmart is the country's #1 retailer with Amazon coming in third. Somebody is purchasing the overseas merchandise and not walking the walk and it ain't all Democrats...
It was all fun and games until it hits WallyWorld. Shake it off, you can cover the added costs with all that cash you're saving from Trump's tax cuts, right? Right?
maybe Walmart should go back to its original "made in the USA", that went away thanks to globalist Bill Clinton of Arkansas

And the average income will go up by $4,400 due to better paying jobs, and the average quality of manufactured products will double.
Anyone else tired of replacing $20/hr manufacturing jobs with $8/hr Walmart jobs?
Anyone else tired of having to buy a new refrigerator every 4 years?
You are aware that there is a difference between a calculation resulting from a study by the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a number you just fabricate to try to (poorly) make a counterpoint, right?

I'm concerned that this will severely impact low IQ DEM voters that shop Walmart.
Now the minimum wage Walmart workers can have their $15/hr while working in manufacturing. Trump solving problems that democrats can't.
Tariffs aren't going to bring the jobs back. Wal Mart even noted that.
