I spent many summers in the NL, and then took a long break. When I visited a couple of years ago I was stunned at how the country had changed. What a shame that a way of life and culture has changed so drastically in such a short time. On the plus-side, the Dutch survived Napoleon, maybe they can turn this around as well.
Kind of makes you wish you had a second amendment.
