It's amazing that so many Americans are concerned about "the rights of the unborn", yet don't give a fiddler's fluff about the born, and support the mutilation of the recent born.

I’m pro choice when it comes to abortion and circumcision. Good thing that’s the law of the land in the US and unlikely to change despite a few men mourning their foreskins. They’ll have a lot to talk about with their parents and therapists.

Ninety percent of American males weren't circumcised until a wacko who made Corn Flakes started spouting off that it helped boys not play with themselves.

oddly enough, as i understand it, insurance will pay for it when he's born but not when he's, say, 12 years old.
Cut 'em while they're too young for the victim to complain to the insurance company or bring a charge of battery against the OB-GYN.

Newborn circumcision has been a cash cow for American OB-GYNs for a century or more.

do you really think a baby who is a few days old really know or cares about what you call mutilation of his penis when this is not mutilation at all. It is taking a very small amount of foreskin off to help with keeping it clean if nothing else.

The article said "Circumcising girls has been illegal in Iceland since 2005, but there are currently no laws to regulate the practice against boys." So, if we apply an SJW liberal feminist nagging mother-in-law's logic, we could argue that is sexism against boys (read: misandry?).

I’m glad my parents chose to circumcise me.

And yet males have lived for time immemorial without having it done.

Iceland male circumcision ban: MP behind plan 'didn’t think it was necessary to consult' Jewish and Muslim groups, amid growing anger
Your link is 15 months old.

The bill died.

As an aside, less than 20% of males in Europe are circumcised. It is rare in non- Muslim population in India and almost non- existent in China.

It is predominately a Jewish, Muslim and US custom. The parent’s of the US baby-boom were the first US majority generation to embrace circumcision of their male offspring.
