I'll be participating in my own community's celebrations and pacing myself, hydrating, and seeking the shade.

But I might cast a little shade on Trump's already shady "celebration", too. I certainly won't watch it live, but might check out YouTube after the fact, for entertainment.

Though it's pretty sad to find humor in such idiocy as Trump and his ilk consistently demonstrate.

We did. In 2016. Well, actually January of 2017.

It will be good to see our men and women in the military getting the recognition they deserve Thursday. Sad to see that makes leftist's little heads explode.

Trump needs to use the military as a campaign prop because his presidency is floundering.

You must be delusional to belive this has anything to do with the troops... Selling tickets to GOP members, closing it of for the general public etc etc...

Finally trump can show the world how large an "army" he has..

But yeah slip of the tongue, not a big deal.

Bigger issue is the army didn't even want these "new" tanks. There are thousands in storage and are "fundamentally at the end of their lifespan" per Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley. More interested in the Strykers being built and future vehicles. Restarting Abrams in Lima is pure political vote buying.
I don't know enough about the situation to definitively come down on one side vs. the other, but might Trump be right if the tanks are newly built? I get that the tanks are not a new design in that they have been around for a while. But if they were newly released off the factory floor, they are still "new." Its like saying that Jeep is going to parade some brand new Jeep Wranglers that just came off the factor floor. No, the Wrangler isn't a new concept and has been around for many decades, but the Wranglers that would be paraded would, indeed, be new in that they were recently built.

Dems fume over Trump plans to address public from Lincoln Memorial on July 4

“HOLD THE DATE!” Trump tweeted. “We will be having one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C., on July 4th. It will be called “A Salute To America” and will be held at the Lincoln Memorial. Major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!”
I blame Sam Adams.
