No. It won't change the abortion debate.

As the mother of a teenage boy, I would love to see a reliable male contraceptive in addition to condoms.

Between child support and government handouts-some see it as a way to avoid little things like working for a living. Granted, that is a pretty small percentage, but not non-existent. Good to see that men might have the same access to simple, convenient contraception that women do.
There are also a percentage of men who want to stay in their parents’ basement forever, and a percentage of men who want to be on disability forever etc etc etc. there are lazy people everywhere. Women are no different. But it’s not right to deny anyone their right to decide for their own bodies.

Game changer? I don't see how... does a male pill suddenly flip the calculus to "his bodily fluids, his choice?!?!

I've never understood the argument for a male BC pill from a female perspective.

How many women who are having sex with guys they don't really know would trust, "hey honey, no need for a condom, I'm on the pill?"

Like, zero???

I could see this working for married couples but not anyone else.

/Thread.

If you're a women, are you going to rely on a man who says " I'm on the pill"?

Plenty of guys out there ended up with child support payments that way.

I see no problem with it. If a man wants to take a pill and wrap it up to try his best to avoid being a parent, why not.

Women who feel the same should also protect themselves.

Would be nice for men though, if they dont want to be trapped into paying endless child support, or a marriage they dont really want.
I'd say most women would also use some form of bc. The male bc would just help men protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy. Men should have more options.
Just FYI, child support is not endless and no one can force you into marriage.

Oh I think many men will definitely use it!!
