Gee, a bunch of old men voting to ignore the Constitution as interpreted by the Supreme Court because that would mean they don't get to tell women what to do with their own bodies. Color me shocked, not.

Murf and Rusty won't be too happy with how this ends up. And no, I'm not making up random names to be funny, those are the actual names on the nameplates in the photo in the OP link.

And we patriots vow to boycott any companies or organizations that boycott or punish this town in retaliation.
Ooooh -- I am so scared!

(Btw, as Waskom has a population of just about 2,200, what exactly would anyone boycott?)

My guess is that there wasn’t an abortion clinic within 100 miles of this town in the first place, but I guess it made them feel good to “own the libs”.

Please show me where abortion is referenced in the Constitution.

Was there an amendment I missed? Can you point us to it?

I don't agree with what this town, or MS and GA, are doing. I will call out a meme that is a lie pretending to be a fact though.

What exactly would they challenge, the city doesn't have an abortion clinic, doesn't have any clinic, doesn't have a hospital but they do have a catholic medical center. I don't think that group of Mensas thought this out, they are banning something that doesn't happen in their city.

They don't have a foster care home either, where are they going to house these children,

You left out the part where I said "as interpreted by the Supreme Court." You can disagree with that interpretation if you want, but I didn't make that up and your issue would be with SCOTUS, not me.

On another level, your republican masters just love another million desperate mouths to feed while the rich drink Grand Marnier and you drink Bud
you're suggesting that women are more prone to sociopathic behavior?

"Due to the recent pro-life legislation in Louisiana being so strong and due to the risk of an abortion clinic one day moving to Waskom, Texas, we decided to do something to protect the city, which was passing an ordinance outlawing abortion in Waskom, Texas."

Dickson added that an abortion clinic was looking to move to Waskom, which would have served a 200-mile radius, making it an abortion destination.

it's 20 miles from Shreveport.

The government demanding that women bear children they can't afford and don't want is slavery.

Surprising to see folks are in favor of that.
