This day in 1865 - Republican's invade Texas and the flip from Blue to Red started.

Today commemorates the day in 1865 when Union soldiers under General Gordon Granger landed in Texas with news that the civil war had ended and that those in Bondage were now free in accordance with the Emancipation Proclamation signed by Abraham Lincoln.
Republicans have fought Democrats the entire way. So everyone is equal in America and no one is the government's property, much less someone else's.

They want you all enslaved to the government, as we approach the 2020 crossroads.
Control of their property is at stake.

And to this day conservative Texans are still mad about the Emancipation Proclamation and their ancestors getting whipped good in the war.

Stop it. There isn’t a single elected Republican today that would’ve belonged to the abolitionist movement. Not one.

If the Civil Rights Act had to pass Congress today, it wouldn’t garner a single Republican vote. McConnell wouldn’t even allow a vote on it.

The republicans tried equal rights in the early 1900's, who do you think opposed it?

We'll see. We'll have to defend the unity of this country once more from the Democrats.

Do you really want to "be in bed" with what the democrats/progressives/liberals/authoritarian collectivists have become? I don't. Let this "country" dissolve into like-minded state alliances. The country was founded on UNITED STATES. The states are no longer united. You have the authoritarians on the left and right coasts and a few places in between, and you have states still preferring liberty and/or libertarianism and/or conservatism, etc, scattered in between. Let like-minded states form their own unions and alliances under their OWN banners and their OWN social preferences. There is no united in the states anymore. People and attitudes on the east and west coast are as foreign to me as people and attitudes in Mongolia or Madagascar. Nothing at all in common. Time for an amicable divorce.

Founding fathers never intended the country to be ruled by a powerful federal government. We can still be united, but more autonomy given back to the states.

Founding fathers had no concept of America today nor did know additional states were coming. They didn't even know there was land past the Mississippi. Little relevance to today's world. Heck they failed to keep this country from dividing itself by allowing slavery after they all agreed "All men are created equal". Same problem we have with leaders today. Say one thing, let your actions do the opposite.
