He is lgbtq and black so that overides any negative points for having been born a male. He would be more electable if he went through gender reassignment surgery. And if he converted to islam
Booker's thoughts on this are just as screwed up as those on the right that would refuse to vote for a woman or openly gay candidate regardless of their qualifications.
I could care less about any identifications of a candidate, just show me what they've done to deserve a vote and what their plan is if they win, that's all I need to know from either side.
I'm sorry to think that you're so biased that you can't grasp the idea that diversity may be a good thing, and that an administration perhaps should reflect the makeup of the population. Seems to me a sensible person would acknowledge that the Dems have some unusually good qualified women candidates (unlike Republicans). It's not pandering.
However, that said, I think he's wrong. We should all always vote for the most qualified candidate.
Seems to me that for one of the most important jobs in the world, people would care more about the person's ability and/or merits over what they look like. What an absolutely stupid reason to vote for someone to be president. Their appearance means absolutely nothing to the job.
