An extremist militia group's threats have prompted the Oregon Senate per the recommendation of police. The Oregon State Police, in a statement, said it has been "monitoring information throughout the day that indicates the safety of legislators, staff and citizen visitors could be compromised if certain threatened behaviors were realized." One of the groups that was planning a protest at the capitol had previously joined in an armed takeover of a wildlife refuge in 2016.

If the Democrats pass the legislation they are pushing, it will kill the logging industry in Oregon. So I guess the militants are protecting the people.

Rightists love to shout fascism when some speaker at a college is protested.

What is happening in Oregon is Fascism. A right-wing militia threatening public servants is fascism in all its glory. It is the very definition of fascism.

It should be condemned by Republicans and conservatives, but it won't be because they lack spine or agree with these tactics.

I think the Oregon State Police took these threats seriously given some of the groups have actual prior history of armed political conflict.

What was the exact threat made?

I didn't see it in the article, so I'm not certain a threat was actually made.
