They are well on their way to dismantling the Electoral College. They know full well it is the only way the conservatives can win the white house. As soon as they do away with that check and balance national elections will be decided in the large liberal coastal cities. At that point you basically have a 1-party dictatorship not unlike the Soviet Politburo.

Federal voting means a federal deputized building therefore a real ID. But you're right, suddenly for this single activity if she gets her way no ID would be required

I'd say she's completely off the reservation. But..........

I support the Presidential elections Nationalized as that is a nationwide vote. Outside of that no.

As far as rules. I support abolishing the electoral vote. Rank choice voting for the election. Election is the 2nd Friday and Saturday of November. Allow resident's of Territories to vote. Allow individuals with a criminal record vote as long as not incarcerated. Have a Social Security card or pay taxes or both would be allowed to vote. Must be 18 years of age.

This is a good post. Why do so many want to mess with an election process that generally works?

I have often heard it said by experts that the 50-state process is one of the best guarantors against massive fraud. It would be virtually impossible to rig 50 separate processes, but if all centralized into one, it becomes much more feasible.

I'm not an electoral college fan but it isn't going away without a major fight. Most of the 50 states have small populations. Just another unicorn for Democrats to chase.

The electoral college should go away but the federal government should NOT run the presidential elections.

Distributed election authority makes tampering much harder.

Just what we need .... a new Federal agency!

What is her plan to convince 38 states they should give up control to the Federal government?
