NEWS is in fact an acronym for North, East, West and South.
Their "job", is to REPORT what is happening in a truthful NON-BIASED way,as Srgt fridsay used to say. "The FACTS Ma'am, JUST the FACTS", NOT "manufacture" news.
Unfortunately most of them have developed a very strong political bias and distort misrepresent and out right lie in order to push their OWN bias's
I have always said ,it is NOT just what they report BUT, what teyt DON'T report.
Example, when was the last time you read or heard a story from the national news where someone used a gun to STOP a crime? Seldom if ever. Even when they do, they OMIT important info that puts the using of a gun in a good light. The Va, Law school shooting is a perfect example.
Why isn't the killings in places like Chicago and Balt in the national news EVERY WEEK?. But, let one white cop shoot a black and it is 24/7 on the national news.
Even if a pistol is used they NEVER fail to talk about so called "assult-weapons".
When 90 PERCENT of your stories are negative , when MANY positive things could be reported, toward 1 person anybody with a brain can see the fallacy of their "reporting"!
The media has had a LOWER approval rating then even Congress for DECADES for very good reasons.
