Multiculturalism at its finest!

Good for Tiny Jag though. I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on all the time on the down low.

Detroit-based rapper Tiny Jag pulled out of a Detroit, MI music festival this week after she learned that white concert-goers would be charged a higher price than people of color.

How is this not illegal?

I appreciate Tiny Jag and think that the legality of this should be looked into, while at the same taking the opportunity to affirm that I despise hip-hop music. No one sings or plays and instrument, and usually the only catchy part is stolen from real musicians.

It basically comes down to how well you can rhyme words, say "****," and steal the music of real artists.

She did the right thing.

And the promoters should be sued for racial discrimination.

Definitely I thought public accommodation laws made it illegal for businesses to discriminate on the basis of race?

They better watch out, how are they going to handle the mob of angry white folks rioting over this grave injustice?

On a side note, I had never heard of Tiny Jag until reading this thread... she's a damn good looking woman.

Same here and I agree that she is beautiful. I dont listen to rap, my kids did but they are all living in their own places now. My radio stays on a station that plays 70's and 80's rock. When the girls visit they wear earbuds when listening to music.

I respect Tiny Jag, she has integrity.

I believe this is the first time I have had of this sexy lady. Bravo for her calling out such a despicable practice. While I am merely assuming, her pointing out a racist practice might inspire some people to buy her music. In other words, it might contribute to a small spike in music sales for her and her record company if she is contracted with one.

I have some on-line comments where one person where say this race-based pricing discrepancy is legal and another person says it is not. I don't know if it is illegal or not because there are so many loop holes with many laws. What I do know is that this practice is abhorrent.
