Interesting that people know the odds without knowing the candidate.

The only thing Trump advisers are panicking about is finding venues large enough for his rallies. They hate having tens of thousands of people waiting outside in the rain because the venue is full.

The Democrats took over the House, also during a good economy - in large part because of socio-cultural issues.
I would agree to the extent that for those who have been fortunate enough to participate in the gains may well be putting more emphasis on issues not related to the pocketbook. However there are still millions of Americans that have yet to see any of the fruits of the economic expansion or even more likely, are still holding on by the tips of their fingers.

If/when a hiccup occurs it will be a pretty easy case for the Dems to make that, once again, the Republicans left them behind both economically and the social contract of compassion we as Americans have traditionally embraced.

Excellent point Phil.

So the left's response is to double down on the crazy ,the name calling and accusations of racism?

Support socialism.

Support illegals over American citizens.

Support Antifa violence.

Support loony legislation like the GND.

Continuing to scream "RUSSIA!!"

You really think that's a path to victory in 2020?

Have you really not figured out that Trump is baiting you to keep going farther and farther Left and closer and closer to being certified nutcases?

Blah, blah, blah ...same old crap, none of which can be substantiated with examples. Hurling insults, and false accusations are all the Democrats have.

The fact is, people who know Trump personally say he is a "germophobe," and therefore there is no way he would be consorting with prostitutes or engaging in some of the behavior they're accusing him of. He also doesn't smoke or drink.

If you want to know who the man is, look at his family.

As for intelligence, the man is obviously brilliant. Anyone should be able to figure that out. The "unintelligent" claim is nothing more than another unfounded insult.

Give it a rest. Do something to improve your own Party, which is so fractured it may never survive through the next election. They've gone way too far Left for the majority of Americans. In fact, that is why Trump was elected. America isn't socialist, and that's why they rejected Hillary. So, what do the Democrats do? They swing even further Left than Hillary. There isn't ONE viable Democrat candidate running. Not ONE! All are extreme Leftist socialists who do not represent what America as founded. The all speak of control and regulations, the very things that have driven businesses offshore, and caused job losses here. They never learn.

Bam! And that speaks volumes! Never happen for any Democrat running today. I don't think it even happened when Obama was running; at least it was never mentioned in the media.

Trump is a completely different kind of man than has ever run in recent years. He doesn't fit the mold that the Democrats have created for a President. That's why they hate him so much. He doesn't don things their way. Well, that's just too damn bad.

You’re not a persuadable voter. I’m betting that you are part of the 40% of the public that would back Trump if he murdered someone in broad daylight on Park Avenue in front of 5,000 witnesses.

As far as nutcases are concerned, a large percentage of voters think we already have a certified nutcase in the Oval Office.

The election will be determined by the turnout in about a half dozen states. Either side could win. Neither will win in a true landslide, assuming you’re using 1936, 1964, 1972 or 1984 as your standard for a real landslide.

I do agree that this will be won or lost on the state of the economy over the next 16 months and as I've pointed out upthread, folks who are considerably smarter than I am and have earned a lot of cash for me over the past couple of years are ambivalent at best that the market gains will hold through the election.

YMMV
What say you, undecided voters on CD?
