This reminds me of how liberals didn't think conservatives in SC knew Nikki Haley is Indian. Democrats would make a big deal out of how her real name isn't Nikki, etc b/c they had a stupid belief Republicans would turn on her if they knew she was Indian.

Probably that he's not married, is soft spoken with that Carolina drawl, and has a baby face, none of which is conclusive. It's just possible that he is a straight male who never married, is soft spoken, and has a baby face.
People look for what they hope to find. They dream of an influential conservative Republican senator coming out, which doesn't mean he's gay, it just means that they want him to be.
