I have to laugh at people who complain about rodent infestations in rental units. Do you think the owner puts them there on purpose? What makes the rats want to be there? Filthy living individuals that provide a myriad of things for rats to get into. Does Jared Kushner live there and bring the rats home with him?

It's not Cummings fault either.

And WHY are they so cheap?
Because they are “rat infested areas”, among other things.

Trump is in the business of taking derelict properties in bad sections of town and turning them into something that improves the entire neighborhood and somehow he is a racist monster for doing it.

If only these ridiculous Dems that are trashing America as a whole and championing for the Rights of illegal aliens while turning their backs on their constituents would only return to their districts to help the good people there we would all be better off.
I agree. I think they are doing the cities a service. What city wants to be known for it’s slums? The areas become safer, and filled with people who pay taxes to the city rather than consume them.

It I say Boogeyville (a made up town name, population 1,234) there isn't a soul who would pay attention except maybe the people in Boogeyville who aren't children.

When I lived in Maryland (not Baltimore) for 12 years (1995 - 2007) Baltimore was a dump. I used to call it Pothole City because the potholes were like moon craters and there were many of them. The movie Ladder 49 was filmed in Baltimore (this was when Martin O'Malley was the mayor and that little short lady whose name escapes me right now was a long-time Senator from Baltimore) so I decided one day (right before St Patrick's Day) to take some photos of the outside of the firehouse where it was being filmed. I also decided to take a cab, not my car, from the hotel where I was staying overnight so I could photograph the actors in the parade the next day. The firehouse was about a half block in from a main road. The cab driver (who was black) told me not to go past the firehouse and when I was done, to walk back to the main road and call him from there to come and pick me up because it was too dangerous to wait for him in that neighborhood and he wasn't going to drive in there to get me. I also recall that Baltimore set some kind of record one New Year's Day for the most murders after midnight in X amount of time. I don't know if it was a Baltimore record it broke or a US Cities record it broke. I don't know anything about rats. (The cab drivers are nice.)
It appears to me that crime, rats, etc are local issues to be dealt with by local government.

Where in the job description of a congress person does it say they are to solve local police and rodent problems.

There a time in a certain section of St. Louis where no utility service person would go into a large low income housing project without a police escort. Nobody expected the congressman to fix the problem.

Can a congressman use campaign funds to buy rat traps and pass them out?

Trump campaigned on Making America Great. If he thinks Baltimore is a *&^%, it says a lot about his campaign promises.

I didn't know Jared Kushner was mayor of Baltimore.

You want to see rats? Go to Dem controlled Los Angeles where health experts are predicting the return of the Black Plague. Oh, wait, that sounds racist!

In Baltimore's defence, John Hopkins is a famous medical school and university, and the Peabody Library is famous, and Baltimore looks like it has a nice harbour. I do have to agree with Trump in terms of the amount of murders though, although the rate has been falling in some US cities which is a further positive.
"In Baltimore's defence, John Hopkins is a famous medical school and university", Don't walk 2 blocks from it.

AGAIN, for the umpteenth time, Trump did NOT say the entire CITY of Balt., Jut spoke about cumming's district.

Exactly. The fact that Baltimore is a sh#thole has nothing to do with Donald Trump and merely stating obvious facts does not make a person a racist LOL.

Did anyone talk about Baltimore's horrible problems before Trump? Especially did the race huckstering politician from there, who cares more about the QOL of illegal aliens over his own constituents? No you say.

Case closed.
