After the debate Bernie Sanders walked into a bar and announced "Free drinks for everyone!"

But when the bartender gave him the check, Bernie turned to the crowd and asked "Who's paying?"

What I don't understand is how can bernie run as a democrat when is NOT a democrat.

He has run as an Independent his entire carer, "Sanders's 1990 victory made him the first independent candidate to be elected to Congress since Frazier Reams in 1950."

"Political partyDemocratic (member) (2015–2016; 2019–present)[1]
Independent (Congressional affiliation) (1977–2015; 2016–present)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernie_Sanders

He changes his party affiliation when he runs then goes BACK to being and IND AFTER the election.

I'm surprise no of the dems running bring this up.

The Dem’s?

Some of the candidates are not “ The Dems”.

Right now, two of the four front runners are NOT advocating for this.

Only a few of the Democratic candidates want to remove insurance companies from the health care field, so that hc won't be a for-profit business for them. That does add a lot of money to the cost of health care in the U.S. Most of the candidates want to add a public option to the ACA and/or expand Medicare/Medicaid, things like that.

Some of the other First World countries have single payer, but ins. cos. still exist for those who can afford to pay them (since that adds another layer of cost, on top of the cost of health care).
I don’t think most Americans under 65 are on prescription drugs.

75% of us are overweight/ obese and Diabetes is an epidemic. It should come as no surprise we spend the most.

Rest of the developed world has Universal Healthcare. No two countries do it the same way. Some rely entirely on private insurers. Most are a mixed bag of public and private.

Biden is the front runner, right now. The second- fourth positions are variable ( Warren, Bernie and Harris) based on poll and timing.

Harris’ current plan is about choices, public and private.

Bernie sounded angry last night, angry old man who never worked very hard in his life, but love to agitate and give free stuff. There’s always stupid people out there who believe him.

All polls survey a few thousand and interpolate the outcome vs the entire population.

According to those polled who identify as Democrats.

There are more Independents than either Democrats or Republicans.

And if “ I did not vote” ran, it would win by a landslide.

No, it is quite his fault. He said he was going to "do healthcare" (whatever that means), it was "going to be so easy", it was going to be "far less expensive and far better," and they were going to "repeal and replace". Then after being elected he said "nobody knew healthcare could be so complicated," which is only something a moron would say. I'd say most adults who pay medical bills, have a functioning brain and are honest with themselves knew that was a BS statement. So the guy explicitly campaigned on having the answers, therefore you can't blame Republicans. The Republicans' plan all along was just to repeal and go back to whatever we were doing in 2008 with millions less people with insurance and pre-existing conditions not being protected.

Tariffs are not helping. I work for a company that relies on a lot of raw materials. Costs are going up on steel and aluminum for instance. Farmers are getting killed on tariffs. They're losing customers, and then the U.S. government is spending billions to bail them out of the mess the stupid tariff policy created. Trump did his dumb photo ops with Kim Jong Un, giving legitimacy to a dictatorial regime that has slave labor camps and murders its citizens. They haven't done jack to reduce their missle program. Iran has had more uranium enrichment since we scrapped the nuclear deal.

See healthcare example above about just saying stuff to get elected. Literally what Trump did. Also what Trump did RE: "Mexico's gonna pay for the wall."

Trump's also saying a bunch of "feel bad" stuff for the 2020 election. Literally telling people that they better vote for him otherwise their 401ks will lose value. Totally stupid. The stock market went up every year under Obama, which was no more due to him than the stock market increases under Trump (it's because of the Fed policies).
