How many civilians have been murdered byother civilians?
How many civilians have been murdered by governments?
Sorry, but I'll keep the 2nd and my ability to put up a fight against another civilian or government that might want to kill me.
Gun control is constitutional. Your argument is nonsense.
The U.S. Government has a huge nuclear arsenal and thousands of tanks at its disposal. Should I be allowed to have private nukes or a fleet of tanks on my property due to some irrational fear of tyrannical government?

You can buy a fleet of tanks.
Nukes are a different animal, much like chemical weapons due to their natute of being dangerous for lack of constant care.
The 2nd clearly states that I can be armed, even with a tank.
I know that morons have formulated a ridiculous category for "assault weapon" used to make things like 22 rifles sound scary.
With minimal knowledge, you're not really in a position to call others morons. Either way, perhaps you need to read more if you think swords are in that category.

Yes. Morons label 22 rifles as assault weapons.
Are you saying semi-automatic 22 rifles that use a magazine don't fall into the "assault weapon" category?

No, it doesn't say that. Anyway, I made reference to a fleet of tanks, not a singular one.
A tank with an operational gun requires a federal Destructive Device permit assuming a state laws doesn't already prohibit it. A local law-enforcement official, usually a sheriff or police chief, also has to sign off on the application.

You're discussing this with a guy who thinks swords are categorized assault weapons...

Um, yes you should.
Property rights are absolute. You should be able to have them for whatever reason you want as long as you don't use them to initiate force.
Same thing with paper clips, pillows, golf clubs, etc.

Where I live, we haven't been so dumb and naive to give such power to a local sheriff or police chief.
Here is an example of a fleet of operational tanks privately owned:

Only a State agent can classify a weapon. And only a lawyer can argue that point in one of its kangaroo courts.
