He's not working because of the National Anthem protests; not because of his talent level.
That is exactly correct. It is a combination of the owners feeling he may not be talented enough to whether a possible distraction, and also thinking that Kaps salary demand may be higher then what they would be willing to give him. Yes he had no offers but did have some interest after declaring himself a free agent. The Ravens were set to make him an offer but pulled back after Kaps wife insulted the teams owner. Seattle had also offered a Kap a workout, but it is unknown exactly why that workout was canceled.
At this point being out for 2 complete seasons we will never no unless someone gives him a workout.
All the Monday morning QB's can have their opinions, mostly influenced by politics. But look at the opinion of those who played in the NFL last season. A survey of 85, 81 said Kap should still be in the league. Many even pegged him better then Blake Bortles, Nathen Peterman and even Eli Manning.
Geno Smith is still hanging around. Sean Mannion is. Mike Glennon. this list goes on and on. CK easily could be a no 2 for a team.
If the stories are true, the Broncos offered him a tryout but would not promise him he would be the starter and he was not interested. He also wanted Peyton Manning type money according to what I read.

I have no idea of the rumors. I know that he is talented enough to be at least a no 2. I believe teams don't want the headache. And that is their prerogative. But its not about talent.

He's a running qb and that limits the teams he'd even match. Denver would not have been it.
I think he should play...maybe try the Iranian Football League.... he sure won't have to worry about the evile national anthem in Tehran! And he can kneel 7 times a day too...
I think the Ravens are going to find out that Lamar Jackson is very similar to Kap and won't last long. Run first QBs just are not as valuable as good passers who can move well.

So he was offered one tryout in 3 years, he is good enough to be a backup. It has nothing to do with his ability it’s the baggage. He should have just beat his wife like some of the other players rather than taking a knee and he would be playing.
